This shot is based off of false realities. This set is meant to seem like a cheesy, fake looking shot to give off the vibes that many people may receive from the idea of mental disorders. Many people see mental issues as a fake attention seeking phase that teenagers go through. This particular 'unicorn' shot is based off of schizophrenia, in her mind she is imagining something that isn't quite there. Whatever it may be, perhaps a unicorn. I was inspired by a story of a girl with schizophrenia, they had a polar bear constantly follow them around even though she lived in Sydney (Australia) and she realised that it would be irrational to believe that what she saw was real. This is a very personal shot and was for my uncle who has schizophrenia.
